Every time you choose an impact, your choice is recorded in our backend, and the progress bar tracking progress towards the projects funding goal gets closer to 100%. Payments are then made in aggregate to our project partners on a quarterly basis. This is easier for our impact partners to manage than getting a tonne of smaller donations, and the entire 1% donation goes directly to them.
The project bars represent funding goals supplied by our impact partners, and detail the exact impact which can be made each time the goal is hit. When a goal is hit, the progress bar resets and we can work to that goal again!
Klean works with both brands that are leading the way in positive impact, as well as ones that are just starting out on their impact journey. In both scenarios, we conduct an extensive media audit and speak directly with brands about their business practices, values, and commitment to impact within and outside of their company
Klean does not take a % of funding from the allocated impact projects. We charge the retailers a transaction fee based on the ROI received from the volume of new impact focussed customers, and the increases in loyalty they see from existing customers.
For every customer, Klean curates a list of environmental and social organisations that closely align to their mission, values and products. Every organisation we partner with is vetted to ensure they have the relevant registrations, certifications third party audits and more.
